The Dragon Child Trilogy

Many have been asking me if I am still writing. Truthfully it has been rather hard since the birth of my first son, and even harder since the second. But, I am still writing!

My first book, The Dragon Child, a young adult fantasy fiction novel, was published about 4 years ago by a small printing press. I was only 22 at the time and very naïve about the process. Today, I would have done things much differently. First off, I would have hired a professional editor and second, I would have hired an agent. So, recently, I have hired a wonderful friend (Wesley Lowe, author of The Necromancer Wars) to edit my book. He has been very patient with me and my inexperience with writing. I have mostly taught myself to write, because from age seven to age fourteen, I lived in Germany and German became my first language.

The original Dragon Child can still be purchased online, but I am very unhappy with the product. (Typical of any author, though.) My initial plan was to have a series of four books. Recently, the plan is to only have three under the name of “The Dragon Child Trilogy” instead of “The Noirfonika Series.”

Book one will have the new name of “The Phoenix Host.”
Book two will be called “The Serpent Prince.”
Book three is still undecided.

My plan with this blog is to post some excerpts of my work every month, along with updates on my progress.  Sometimes I will even post sketches of my work. Come back often and see!
